Afternoon Nanny - Elstree, Hertfordshire

Schedule: Term time afternoons + 10 weeks full-time during school holidays

A lovely family based in Elstree, Hertfordshire, is looking for an experienced and nurturing local nanny to care for their two children, aged approximately 6.5 and 5 years old.

The family already has a live-in housekeeper and is seeking a dedicated nanny who lives locally to support the children after school. This is a wonderful opportunity for a nanny who enjoys working with older children and creating a fun, engaging, and supportive environment.

The children are active, curious, and enjoy outdoor activities, creative play, and learning opportunities. The ideal candidate will be warm, proactive, and organised, with a genuine interest in children's development.

Duties Include:

• Collecting the children from school/nursery.
• Providing sole charge care during the afternoons.
• Planning and organising age-appropriate activities, outings, and play.
• Supporting homework, reading, and school projects.
• Preparing healthy snacks and meals for the children.
• Taking the children to after-school activities and clubs.
• Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive routines.
• Managing child-related tidying, organisation, and preparation.

Schedule:

• Term time: Monday to Friday, 2:30pm - 7:30pm
• School holidays: 10 weeks per year of full-time hours, approximately 7:30am - 7:30pm

Requirements:

• Local to Elstree or the surrounding areas.
• Driver preferred due to school runs and children's activities.
• Experienced working with school-aged children.
• Warm, reliable, and proactive approach.
