Overview

A warm, busy and organised family based in Cobham, Surrey are seeking an experienced Afternoon Nanny / Family Assistant to support the smooth running of family life during the busiest part of the day. The role focuses on the children's after school schedules, club coordination, transport and family organisation, providing calm, capable support throughout the afternoons and early evenings. The children are older and independent, so the role involves more than traditional nursery style childcare and less supervision of daily routines.

Key Responsibilities

• School pick ups and after school care
• Taking children to after school clubs and activities
• Supporting with the organisation of school schedules and logistics
• Helping monitor school communications, reminders and parent WhatsApp groups relating to the children's schedules and activities
• Printing forms, booking reminders and keeping on top of school related administration
• Helping the children stay organised with school equipment, activities and routines
• Preparing simple evening meals and children's suppers, including a Wednesday evening meal
• Supporting calm and positive evening routines
• Light household support related to the children and family organisation
• Providing reliable after school support within a busy family home

Requirements

• Previous experience working within a private household as a nanny or family assistant
• Confident supporting older school aged children and busy schedules
• Highly organised and naturally proactive
• Calm, upbeat and capable personality
• Comfortable managing multiple moving parts and changing routines
• Strong communication skills and good attention to detail
• Happy around dogs and comfortable being part of a dog friendly household
• Confident driver essential
