Advisory & Valuations - Energy, Infrastructure & Environment - Manager (4970)

Within this practice, the Infrastructure Finance business unit provides modelling, audit of valuations, training and advisory services to clients across EMEA and the Americas, from regional hubs in London, Paris, New York, Toronto, Johannesburg and Delhi.

Job Purpose

To support Partners and Directors in further developing the Advisory and Valuations service lines within Forvis Mazars through the delivery of a high quality service across a range of clients within the energy & infrastructure sector - acquisitions, valuations, sales, fundraisings, bid advisory and debt raisings.

We are looking for an individual who can drive the business forward, combining excellent client relationship skills, strong commercial judgement and deep sector knowledge.

Role

• Lead advisory and valuation assignments, managing projects and providing sector based direction.
• Build first rate client relationships and support business development activities.
• Interpret, sense check and run Excel based financial models with 3 way statements.
• Deliver high quality reports and presenting findings to clients.
• Manage budgets, billing and quality/risk procedures across all engagements.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to the professional development of the team.
• Develop market intelligence and support proposal development for new opportunities.

Professional Responsibilities Project Delivery

• Manage the delivery of advisory engagements - business plans, information memoranda, financial models, client communication and billing.
• Oversee valuation engagements - project plans, market research, sensitivity analysis, report writing and financial management of projects.
• Ensure all projects are completed on time, within budget and in accordance with Mazars' quality and risk procedures.

People & Product Development

• Mentor and review work of junior team members.
• Improve client deliverables, processes and technical expertise.
• Foster a culture of learning and development across the team.

Business Development & Broader Team Engagement

• Build market intelligence and sector knowledge for new deal opportunities.
• Lead proposal documents and help convert opportunities.
• Expand internal and external networks and promote Forvis Mazars expertise.

Key Requirements

• Minimum 6 years of deal advisory and valuation experience in the energy & infrastructure sector (8 years for associate director).
• Strong track record in M&A or financing transactions.
• In-depth understanding of industry trends and key market players.
• Exceptional project management skills and ability to meet demanding deadlines.
• Proven financial modelling and valuation expertise.
• Experience building enduring client relationships.
• Excellent communication, presentation and MS Office skills.
• Fluency in English required; a second EU language desirable.
• ACA, CFA or similar qualifications desirable but not essential.
• Self motivated, ambitious and a highly proactive team player.
