Manchester (with hybrid working)

Our client is a charity supporting the needs of people who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans.

One of their services is for trans and non-binary people in Greater Manchester and delivers safe, timely and affirmative health care to service users as part of our client's mission to support trans and non-binary people to thrive.

They're looking for an Advanced Speech and Language Therapist to join them on a full-time, permanent basis, working 35 hours per week.

The Role

As an Advanced Speech and Language Therapist, you will lead and deliver a vital voice and communication therapy service for trans and non-binary people.

Working as part of a compassionate and inclusive multidisciplinary team, you will manage a complex caseload and deliver evidence-based speech and language therapy interventions that support gender-affirming care.

You will also take on a leadership role, acting as a team lead, overseeing clinical allocation, and providing the point of clinical escalation. Through your work, you will play a key role in empowering individuals to find their authentic voice and expression in a safe and supportive environment.

Additionally, you will:

- Provide regular clinical supervision and performance support
- Contribute to care pathway development and service planning
- Collect and report service data to support continuous improvement and transparency.

About You

To be considered as an Advanced Speech and Language Therapist, you will need:

- To be a qualified speech and language therapist
- Experience delivering voice and/or trans voice and communication care
- Experience providing professional training to clients, carers, and members of the multi-disciplinary team
- Experience of service development, evaluation and improvement
- Experience working with service users to improve service delivery
- Experience leading a team of Speech and Language Therapists
- Specialist knowledge and skills in the assessment and treatment of voice in adults
- To have completed all levels of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists Trans and Gender Diverse Voice & Communication Competency Framework
- To have completed a postgraduate qualification or credential in Gender Identity Healthcare
- Current HCPC and RCSLT registration
