What you will do
  • Manage a complex caseload of children and families, including Child Protection (Section 47) and Child in Need (Section 17) cases.
  • Undertake and oversee advanced statutory assessments and risk evaluations, ensuring timely and effective care planning.
  • Provide practice leadership, mentoring, and support to social workers, promoting reflective and evidence-based practice.
  • Lead and contribute to multi-agency safeguarding processes, including strategy discussions, child protection conferences, and core group meetings.
Qualifications
  • Hold a Degree in Social Work (BA/MA or equivalent) with evidence of continued professional development.
  • Post-qualifying training (desirable).
Registration & Compliance
  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and frameworks, including the Children Act 1989 and 2004, Working Together to Safeguard Children, and Public Law Outline (PLO).
  • Enhanced DBS clearance is required.
