Advanced Practitioner for Same Day Acute GP Clinics

Location: Rotherham Clinic Times: Flexible 8 hours Hourly Pay: £42.12 Gross

Duration: AD HOC Bank shifts

Main duties of the job

Provide high-quality same-day and acute patient assessments.

Diagnose and manage a range of acute presentations.

Prescribe independently.

Work closely with GP and nurses.

Maintain accurate clinical documentation.

Deliver safe, evidence-based care.

Contribute to smooth daily flow within acute clinics.

Requirements

Qualified ACP, ANP and Advanced Paramedic.

Experience working in GP or primary care settings.

Confident managing acute, undifferentiated presentations.

Comfortable working autonomously.

Job responsibilities

We're looking for an experienced ACP, ANP and Advanced Paramedic(s) to join a well-established GP surgery in Halifax, working within their Same Day / Acute Care clinics. This is a steady block booking ideal for clinicians wanting consistent hours and a supportive environment.

You'll be assessing, diagnosing, treating, and prescribing for patients presenting with same-day and acute conditions.

You'll work autonomously but also as part of a friendly, collaborative practice team.

Person Specification Experience

• Registered healthcare professional (e.g., Nurse, Paramedic, etc.)
• Current professional registration with the relevant governing body (NMC, HCPC, Masters level qualification in Advanced Clinical Practice or working towards it).
• Independent Prescriber
• Qualified ACP or ANP Independent Prescriber.
• Experience working in GP or primary care settings.
• Confident managing acute, undifferentiated presentations.
• Comfortable working autonomously.
