Advanced Practitioner - Ref: SS01725

Grade: G10 - per annum

Are you an Occupational Therapist with at least 2 years post qualification experience working in a social care, learning disabilities, mental health or younger adults setting?

If so, then this could be the post for you.

We are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our new Enablement Service in Adult Social Care, Walsall as an Advanced Practitioner leading OT provision within this area of our service.

About the job

The Enablement Team is part of our new approach to Adult Social Care and is one element of our Pathway to Independence Service alongside our Community Reablement and Prevention and Early Intervention teams.

Enablement is a therapy led team with a focus on younger adults with learning disabilities, mental health needs or who are neurodivergent, supporting them through a programme of enablement to maximise their independence and achieve their individual outcomes.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day practice of the Occupational Therapists and Occupational Therapy Assistants within the Enablement Team.

As Advanced Practitioner you will prioritise and allocate work and support the OT staff group to manage caseloads effectively ensuring compliance with our Performance Framework.

Working in partnership with the Team Manager you will ensure practice is of the highest standard and aligns with our Quality Assurance Framework, identifying and where appropriate addressing any development needs.

About You

You will have a minimum of 2 years post qualifying experience preferably working in an similar setting.

Your will have experience of managing complex case work and of supervising staff, students and/or apprentices.
