Job Description

Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) Sheffield Walk-in Centre Full-Time (40) & Part-Time

Are you an experienced ACP ready to practise at the top of your scope in a well established urgent care service? Sheffield Walk in Centre is recruiting a confident, autonomous Advanced Clinical Practitioner to predominantly manage minor illness presentations across all age groups, including paediatrics.

Main duties of the job

This is a high trust, high autonomy role within a supportive, clinically led environment.

Working Pattern
  • 8 hour shifts
  • 7 day rolling rota
  • Service operating hours: 08:00 - 22:30
Note: Flexibility across these hours is essential.

Job description Job responsibilities

The post holder will:

  • Independently assess, diagnose, treat, and discharge patients presenting with minor illness
  • Utilise advanced clinical reasoning and independent prescribing skills
  • Identify red flags and escalates appropriately in line with clinical governance
  • Support patient flow in a busy urgent care setting
  • Contribute to a strong culture of safety, quality, and teamwork

Person Specification Qualifications Essential
  • Current NMC registration with no restrictions
  • MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice
  • Independent / Non Medical Prescriber (V300)
Experience Essential
  • Significant experience in urgent care and/or primary care
  • Confident, autonomous management of minor illness
