We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly skilled Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) to join our established team within the Children's Emergency Department on a 12 month secondment to cover maternity leave. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic, supportive, and forward thinking paediatric emergency medicine service.
As an integral part of our multidisciplinary team, you will work alongside medical and nursing colleagues to deliver high quality, child centred emergency care.
You will function as an autonomous practitioner, taking responsibility for the assessment, clinical decision making, treatment and safe discharge of children and young people presenting with a wide range of acute conditions.
You will contribute to maintaining high clinical standards, supporting service development, and promoting an environment focused on learning, safety and excellence in paediatric emergency care. This secondment offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth while making a meaningful impact on the care experience of our patients and their families.
Main duties of the job- Work independently at advanced level in delivery of high quality clinical care
- Provide clinical leadership and support both nursing and medical teams
- Support clinical team with day to day activity
- Support junior medical staff to achieve training and development requirements
- Provide clinical areas with consistent high quality care

Person Specification Education, Training and Qualifications- NMC, HCPC, GPhC registration
- MSc in Advanced Practice
- Evidence of ongoing CPD demonstrated in a clinical and professional portfolio
- Ionising radiation (medical exposure) regulation holder
- HEE accredited ACP
- Royal college ACP accreditation (where available)
- Experience working with children and young people within an emergency or urgent care setting
- Imaging interpretation knowledge and experience
- Able to assess, diagnose and create a management plan for an undifferentiated diagnosis independently
- Non medical prescribing (if legally permitted) or level 7 knowledge of therapeutics if not legally permitted
- Ability to perform technical skills required for area of practice
- Ability to utilise patient group directive (PGD)
- Evidence across 4 pillars of advanced practice
