Due to recent restructuring within the Diabetes and Endocrine services, we have an exciting opportunity for an advanced clinical pharmacist to join the Clinical Pharmacy team within the Medical Specialities in NHS Clyde.
Pharmacy Lead Comments - Band 8a role/responsibilities
The focus of this role is to provide specialist clinical pharmacy support, including running pharmacist-led clinics, reviewing new patients, and providing clinical assessments, diagnosis, and treatment plans.
You will contribute to the development of prescribing protocols for high-cost medicines and participate in auditing, data collection, and research within the specialty. The role requires excellent communication, multidisciplinary teamwork, and time management skills to ensure patient-centered pharmaceutical care and cost-effective prescribing strategies for NHS Clyde. Candidates should be registered with the GPhC, hold a postgraduate qualification in clinical pharmacy or equivalent, and be a registered independent pharmacist prescriber.
