Adults Manager

Our client, Stockport MBC, is seeking an Adults Manager to join their hospital discharge team.

Stockport (SMBC) requires a strong and dynamic team manager to work within ARCH, the hospital discharge team at Stepping Hill Hospital.

The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of experience. The role requires a minimum of 4 days on-site per week.

The manager should possess thorough knowledge of legislation such as the Care Act, safeguarding, MCA, BIM, etc., and experience in managing and supervising social workers and unqualified staff to support hospital discharges, including pathway work. The position is based at Stepping Hill Hospital and Regent House, Stockport.

Working hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm in a busy environment, ensuring smooth flow and staff support to deliver safe and timely discharges.

Experience working with various partners, including ICB, health services, and the third sector, is required.

The candidate must be reliable, flexible, dynamic, and capable of performing under pressure.

Responsibilities include supervising social workers, chairing safeguarding meetings, COP work, MDTs, and other professional meetings. On-site presence at hospital and bed base sites is necessary.
