Administrator Crawley £30,000 - £35,000

Fully office-based 9.00am - 5.00pm, Monday to Friday 25 days holiday plus bank holidays

Overview

A long-established professional services firm is seeking a highly organised and proactive Administrator to join a small, professional team. This is a varied role, providing administrative support to a designated fee earner and the Records Department, while also contributing to the smooth day-to-day running of the office and providing cover during periods of absence.

The environment is regulated and process-driven, and would suit a candidate from a legal or professional services background who is comfortable working with procedures, deadlines and confidential information. The office is small and quiet, requiring a flexible, hands-on and team-oriented approach.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing administrative support to a fee earner and the Records Department
  • Audio digital dictation and accurate copy typing
  • Preparation, proofreading and electronic filing of formal documentation
  • Preparation of invoices using an electronic billing system
  • Completion and submission of forms electronically
  • Scanning, filing and maintaining accurate electronic records
  • Answering telephone calls and managing visitors at the door
  • Ordering stationery and office supplies
  • General office administration and ad hoc support as required
  • Providing cover for colleagues during periods of absence
Skills and Experience
  • Strong written communication skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Proven experience in an administrative role, ideally within professional services or a regulated environment
  • Confident audio typing and document preparation skills
  • Well organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Proactive and flexible, willing to support across different areas of the business
  • Comfortable following established processes and procedures
  • Professional, discreet and reliable
