We are a specialist home-to-school transport company providing safe journeys for children, including many with autism and other disabilities.
We are looking for a sharp, resilient and highly organised Transport Administrator to join our busy team.
This is a high-pressure, fast-moving role. We expect you to think and move fast, juggle multiple tasks, and maintain accuracy under pressure.
The job involves a constant high volume of work and is not a slow-paced position. It can feel overwhelming at first, especially with the daily demands of onboarding new staff alongside all other duties.
Key Responsibilities:- Managing complex daily transport schedules and calendars
- Handling a high volume of phone calls, emails and enquiries from schools and parents
- Processing and looking after large amounts of paperwork and documentation
- Onboarding new staff (mainly drivers) on a daily basis - including induction, paperwork, system training and compliance checks
- Quickly identifying problems, spotting hidden details that could be overlooked, and resolving issues
- Coordinating last-minute changes and disruptions while understanding the significant impact these can have on children with additional needs
- Liaising with schools, drivers, parents and local authorities
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organisational skills (this is critical)
- Excellent spoken and written English with clear communication skills
- Highly proficient with calendars, emails, spreadsheets and admin systems
- Ability to think and move fast in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
- Experience or confidence in onboarding and training new staff
- Flexible and available for extra hours and short notice
- Clean DBS check (or willing to obtain one) and no criminal record
