Position: Administrator
Location: Bassaleg, Newport
Hours: 40 hours per week, term time
Salary Details: £21,782.64 per annum
As an Administrator you will be responsible for helping to provide efficient and accessible administrative support for both the smooth running and effective management of the school. By carrying out this role you will make a significant contribution to establishing and maintaining a well organised office as well as build positive relationships and effective communications with our employees, students and partners outside of the school.
Essential skills:
- Strong Word and Excel skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.

- Motivated, proactive and adaptable.
- Remain calm under pressure and meet scheduled work deadlines.
- Ability to prioritise multiple workloads.
Key duties;
- Scheduling of meetings and reviews.
- Taking notes/minutes of meetings.
- Ensuring deadlines are met, organising schedules, liaising with external agencies and local authorities on behalf of the Headteacher and other senior staff.
- Responsibility for undertaking administrative and organisational processes within the school.
- Maintaining the Reception, dealing with enquiries and providing general clerical support.
- Maintaining information databases, both manual and computerised.
- Attending and participating in regular meetings in school with support staff and in any additional or appropriate service training days.
- Undertake any other administrative duties requested by the Headteacher.

Greenfields school located in Bassaleg, Newport supporting learners aged 9-16 with learning differences. The school is registered to provide education for up to 30 pupils, who have social, emotional and behavioural difficulties (SEBD). We cater for a mix of residential and day placements.
