Job Description

Working in our main school office you will come into daily contact with our parents and staff so, as well as having administrative experience, you will also possess excellent communication and customer service skills and have a friendly, outgoing manner.

We are looking to appoint an Administrative Assistant to join our dedicated and successful school.

You will play an active role in delivering efficient, effective administrative support, and you will come into contact with our parents and staff so you will possess excellent communication skills and have a friendly, outgoing manner.

This is a fixed-term cover from 1 September 2026 for up to 12 months for a substantive office assistant who is covering office manager's maternity leave. The role is part time, 18.5 hours per week, on a term time only basis. Please note, this cover might finish sooner if the post holder decides to return early from maternity leave for whatever reason.

About the role As Administrative Assistant you will:

  • Have excellent personal, administrative, and organisational skills.
  • Be able to plan and prioritise own workload, meeting set deadlines.
  • Have the ability to maintain a calm, positive and professional manner at all times.
  • Demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Generate excellent relationships with pupils, parents, and staff.
