The Vale Medical Practice has an exciting Administration Team Leader opportunity for a flexible, self-motivated and hardworking individual. The position is offered on a full-time basis to cover maternity leave. Some flexibility is required as you will sometimes be required to work additional, or alternative, hours to cover for colleagues.
Main duties of the jobThe role will require you to support the senior leadership team to ensure the delivery of high-quality administration services, in our primary care GP Surgeries, through the effective organisation and delivery of services by our administration and reception team. The successful applicant will work in collaboration with other members of the management team to enable the practice to meet its agreed aims and objectives within a profitable, efficient, safe, and effective working environment. You will be responsible for the leadership for all operational functions delivered by the administration team and act as a role model, demonstrating leadership, training/mentoring and promoting the standards expected, by the practice, and creating the energy and enthusiasm for the service.
Experience- Ideally candidates will have worked in a GP practice using TPP SystmOne or another GP clinical system.
- Some flexibility is required as you will sometimes be required to work additional, or alternative, hours to cover for colleagues.
- Able to demonstrate a proven employment history of managing and supporting a team.
- Experienced in NHS or healthcare administration, with a strong track record of overseeing workflows, supporting reception teams and back-office functions, maintaining compliance with NHS standards and confidentiality requirements, and providing effective day-to-day leadership.
- Adaptable and friendly, with strong administration, time management and organisational skills.
- An excellent communicator able to work in a confidential and discreet manner.
- Able to "think on their feet" in a busy working environment.
- Able to multi-task, work hard and maintain a high level of attention to detail, when under pressure.
- Able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, as well as demonstrating the ability to work independently.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
