Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Administrative Support Team Leader to oversee our Administrative Support and Post Room teams. This is a hands on leadership role where you will play a key part in maintaining high standards of service, supporting colleagues, and ensuring all administrative and mail processes run smoothly and efficiently.

You will act as the first point of contact for day to day operational issues, provide coaching and guidance to team members, and work closely with management to support team performance, morale, and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities
  • Supervise the Administrative Support and Post Room teams, ensuring daily tasks are completed accurately and on time
  • Train, support, and mentor new and existing team members
  • Act as the first point of escalation for workload, process, or performance issues
  • Monitor workloads, allocate tasks, and lead on project work where required
  • Conduct regular one to one meetings and performance discussions
  • Identify training needs and support staff development
  • Support recruitment activities, including advertising, shortlisting, interviews, and new starter inductions
  • Manage performance, attendance, and HR related matters in line with company policies
  • Ensure incoming and outgoing mail is handled correctly, securely, and efficiently
  • Liaise with the Post Room to resolve discrepancies or missing documentation
  • Support management requests and assist other departments where required
  • Promote and reinforce company values, culture, and professional standards
What we're looking for
  • GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English (minimum Grade C)
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent communication skills with a professional, approachable manner
  • Strong organisational, planning, and time management skills
  • A reliable, flexible, and positive approach to work
  • Confidence in problem solving and handling multiple priorities
  • Commitment to equality, diversity, and teamwork
  • Previous experience in an administrative or team leadership/supervisory role
  • Understanding of the conveyancing process and relevant key legal documents
