Admin Manager

We are a two site GP practice looking for an enthusiastic and confident individual to manage the day to day running of our growing admin team. The Admin Manager would work closely with the Practice Manager, Operations Manager, and HR and Reception Manager to effectively manage the workstreams in Admin.
Main duties of the jobLead by example; being courteous, approachable andsupporting the wider team to help ensure the smooth and efficient running ofthe practice and the services offered.
Be proactive, have excellent organisational skills and prioritiseyour own and others workloads, enabling you to meet deadlines effectively.
Excellent communication skills and teamwork is crucial.
Your main duties would be to support the Practice Manager,oversee the team, dealing with queries and problems as they arise.
About usBeaumont Elms Practices is located over two sites. As an ever-growing practice with around 24,000 patients, we need an extra pair of hands to manage the workload that comes with this! Our friendly team is made up of around 80 people, some of which have worked for with the practice for 30 years!
Job responsibilitiesThe following are the core responsibilities of the Admin Manager. There may be a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels.
The Administration Manager is responsible for:
- Overseeing the administration and support operations of the practice, ensuring staff achieve their primary responsibilities.
- Line managing administrative staff, supporting staff development, providing guidance and direction.
- Being the first port of call for any issues which may arise, escalating to the Practice Manager if need be.
- Completing staff appraisals as required.
- Developing, implementing and embedding efficient office processes and procedures
- Acting as a focal point for the practice, managing requests from external organisations and other agencies
- Alongside the Operations Manager, receiving and dealing with internal IT queries and requests.
- Flexing onto various stations where needed to help deal with pressure points across the practice.
- Deputise for the Operations/ Practice Manager during periods of absence.
- GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths
- Experience of working with the general public
- Experience of administrative duties
- High level communication skills
- Knowledge of EMIS

£17 to £18 an hourThis is dependant on experience
