Ad Hoc Norland Nanny (or Equivalent) Hassocks, West Sussex

Overview

A warm, relaxed and music-loving family in rural Hassocks, near Burgess Hill are seeking a flexible, energetic Norland Nanny (or equivalent) to support their family on an ad hoc basis. This is a wonderful opportunity to build a long term relationship with a family who values reliability, creativity and a love of music.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for two 3 year old twins, including supervision, play engagement and outdoor activities.
• Prepare nutritious home cooked meals and manage children's laundry.
• Maintain routines and support the twins' attendance at local forest school during term time.
• Incorporate music, singing and creative activities into daily life.
• Adjust to both weekday and weekend schedules as required.
• Assist with light housework related to childcare.
• Act as a calm, reassuring presence while encouraging independence and confidence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years nanny experience in a home setting.
• Preferred: Norland Certificate or equivalent.
• 12 hour Paediatric First Aid Certificate.
• Clean driving licence; ability to drive the twins to forest school and other activities.
• Proactive, adaptable, enthusiastic, with a love of the outdoors.

Important Details

Location: Hassocks / Burgess Hill, West Sussex.
Hours: Full time permanent sole charge, live out Junior Nanny position.
Pay: £20 phr gross.
Start Date: July 2026.
Pets at home: No.
Driving required: Yes, with clean licence.
