Main duties of the job

As an Activities Coordinator at a Barchester care home, you will help to create a stimulating environment to deliver exceptional all-round care and support for our residents. The role involves devising imaginative, fun and motivational activities suitable for every interest and ability. Part of your time will be spent getting to know the residents and their families to create tailored activities programmes that maximise wellbeing, independence, and social engagement. Though similar experience would be ideal, it is not essential as Barchester Healthcare provides the training needed to develop skills and advance your career. Being warm, empathetic, and personable, along with having excellent organisational skills and a driven mindset, is essential, as well as inspiring residents and staff to engage both within the home and the local community.

ABOUT YOU You'll need to be warm, empathetic and personable to join us as an Activities Coordinator. Your organisational skills and driven mind set mean you always get things done and make things happen. Meanwhile, your infectious enthusiasm and creative approach will inspire our residents and staff to get involved in activities both within the home and in the local community. Any similar experience would be ideal, but it isn't essential especially as we'll make sure you have the training you need to develop your skills and progress your career with us.
