Job Description

We have a new opportunity for Activities Co-ordinator to join our team in Bruar Ward, New Craigs Hospital. Bruar Ward is an 8 bed High Dependency ward for patients with complex mental health needs.

We are looking for a motivated, hardworking, and caring individual to join our multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate would be responsible for resourcing, planning, implementing and delivering a structured daily activity programme which promotes recovery. They would work with patients on an individual basis or in a group setting. The successful candidate would be expected to participate with and provide feedback to the MDT in relation to patient's abilities and progress whilst participating in activities. Shift pattern would be predominately Monday - Friday but may include some weekend work / evening work.

The successful candidate would be line managed by the Bruar Senior Charge nurse, and would be supported in relation to their daily work, training requirements and annual appraisal, by the ward Occupational Therapist.

  • Effective from 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reduced from 37 to 36 hours. Part-time hours will be adjusted on a pro-rata basis. There will be an increase in the hourly rate to ensure that pay remains unaffected.
