Change & Transformation Leader (Accreditation Lead)

Location: Glasgow or Edinburgh/Hybrid

IR35: Outside

Duration: 5 months

About the Role

Are you a strategic leader with a passion for driving change in education and regulation? This senior-level opportunity offers the chance to lead the transformation of an accreditation function, shaping how qualifications are regulated to meet the evolving needs of society and the economy. The role is central to supporting national education reform priorities through innovation, collaboration, and strategic leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the evolution of the accreditation function through strategic planning and operational excellence
  • Drive innovation in accreditation practices, including digital transformation and micro-credentialing
  • Build and maintain high-level stakeholder relationships, including with government officials and policy influencers
  • Oversee financial planning and resource management in line with public sector guidance
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks and deliver high-quality, customer-focused services
  • Champion staff development, wellbeing, and performance across the team
  • Monitor regulatory trends and identify opportunities for growth and partnership

About You

You are a seasoned Change and Transformation professional with:

  • Proven experience in leading business transformation or regulatory reform
  • Strong track record in strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and operational delivery
  • Exposure to project management tools (MS Project; MS Project Online is a plus)
  • Ideally, experience within the education or regulatory sectors
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and financial management skills
