Accounts Senior

Join a close-knit, general practice accountancy firm in Hertfordshire as an Accounts Senior. This is a fantastic opportunity for a nearly qualified or fully qualified accountant to take ownership of a diverse client portfolio and contribute meaningfully to a small, dynamic team.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Manage a portfolio of approximately 40 clients, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
• Prepare personal and corporate tax returns.
• Handle bookkeeping and VAT returns.
• Liaise directly with clients and HMRC.
• Use systems including Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, Cashflow, and TaxCalc.
• Work collaboratively with a team of four in an office-based environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• ACA/ACCA nearly qualified or fully qualified.
• Experience working in a general practice setting.
• Strong understanding of tax and accounting for various business structures.
• Proficiency in cloud-based accounting software.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to manage client relationships.
• Organised, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
