Accounts Receivable Accountant - Netherlands

As an Accounts Receivable (AR) Accountant, you will manage a global portfolio of accounts, ensuring that all customer receipts are accurately posted and allocated on a daily basis. In addition to core AR responsibilities, you will specialize in one of the four AR sub-teams: Direct Debit Collection, GL Reconciliation, Autobank & Test Accounts, or Global Chains. You will collaborate closely with internal departments and external stakeholders to drive system and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Post all incoming customer payments (via direct debit and bank transfers) and ensure timely and accurate allocation in line with SLAs.

• Maintain detailed records and documentation for customer remittances and AR transactions.

• Perform General Ledger (GL) reconciliations and support month-end close activities.

• Identify and resolve any allocation or processing issues.

• Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures, compliance standards, and internal controls (eg, SOX).

• Collaborate with banks, third-party providers, and internal teams for issue resolution and process improvements.

Sub-Team Specializations (You will work in one of the following areas):

• Direct Debit: Oversee direct debit collections and ensure smooth execution of payment cycles.

• GLs: Support month-end closing activities, perform SOX control checks, and handle financial reporting tasks.

• Autobank: Focus on the automation of payment allocations, identifying and implementing process improvements.

• Global Chains: Manage receivables from global hotel chains such as Marriott and Hilton.

Required Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
