Overview
The Premier League's Finance department is looking for an Accounts Payable Executive to join the team and to provide high quality purchase ledger delivery. We are looking for a candidate with strong attention to detail and has experience in accounts payable and its related procedures across the Premier League group of companies.

We have a wide variety of responsibilities. These include organising the competition and its Handbook as well as managing the centralised broadcast and commercial rights. The work we do in conjunction with the Clubs also goes far beyond the 90 minutes. We support and provide a framework for youth development, we protect the organisation's intellectual property, support the wider game and community programmes, undertake international development work and liaise with governing bodies and other leagues.

All staff liaise closely with their line manager to manage their time appropriately and according to their work and team requirements.
The role
- Working closely with the Accounts Payable Manager to deliver the Accounts Payable function and taking ownership of purchase ledger processes and procedures including online payment setup
- Act as a primary point of contact for purchase ledger both internally and externally
- Ensure all invoices awaiting approval are returned promptly and followed up where necessary
- Administration of company credit card claims and associated processes, liaising with staff and credit card company
- Supporting online payments as guided
- Prepare supplier statement reconciliations
- Support with quarterly/annual data submission to Auditors/HMRC/Office of National Statistics
- General accounts reconciliation and dealing with ad hoc tasks that arise
- Deal with general finance queries from around the business and suppliers
Requirements for the role
- Relevant experience working within an Accounts Payable function Bookkeeping or related field qualification preferred Proven ability to handle confidential information and exercise discretion
- Knowledge of working with accounting software, Concur, Microsoft Dynamics GP and 365 Business Central (preferred)
- Reliable, friendly and happy to work as part of a team
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Strong IT skills particularly Excel, Word and Outlook
- Well organised and able to prioritise effectively
- Able to work to deadlines
- Has a can-do attitude, inspires others through own positive attitudes, energy and passion
- Advanced attention to detail, proactive and methodical approach to task
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated and a good team player
