Accounts Assistant - Southend - Hybrid working - £30-35k + generous benefits

Your new company
My client, an established and leading organisation is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their Southend finance department.
Your new role
Working in a busy and supportive team, this is a varied role which will encompass insurance broker accounting (IBA) activities, alongside supporting with management reporting tasks.
- Cash matching and allocation
- Payment run processing
- Weekly aged debt, funding and unallocated cash reporting
- Following up outstanding premium and requesting breakdowns for unreconciled receipts and allocating to entries
- Office bank reconciliations
- Processing staff expenses and company credit card reconciliations
- Processing weekly BDX declaration
- Monitoring aged debt
- Monthly budget variance reports
- Assisting with month-end accounts checks

What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will have experience in a similar accounting role
Strong communication skills with the ability to build strong working relationships will be pivotal.
Knowledge of the insurance sector will be highly beneficial.
Confident systems and IT skills including Microsoft Excel will be key.

What you'll get in return
Starting salary £30000 - £35000 (dependent on experience) + generous benefits package + study support option
