Job Description

We are currently looking for an Account Executive, Government Business Development in Ireland. This role focuses on driving strategic growth for next-generation satellite connectivity solutions across government and defence ecosystems in Northern Europe. You will be responsible for building high-level relationships with institutional stakeholders, public agencies, and defence organizations, positioning advanced LEO satellite capabilities as a critical enabler of secure, resilient communications. Operating in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment, you will shape long term engagement strategies and influence connectivity roadmaps at national and regional levels. The role combines strategic sales, public sector business development, and geopolitical awareness, requiring strong coordination with internal technical and commercial teams. You will also represent cutting edge space based infrastructure solutions to senior decision makers and institutional partners. This is a high impact position where your work directly contributes to shaping secure communications infrastructure for governments and critical operations across the region.

Accountabilities
  • Develop and execute go to market and business development strategies for government and defence customers across Northern Europe, focusing on advanced satellite communication solutions.
  • Identify, map, and engage key stakeholders across defence ministries, public institutions, political bodies, and industrial partners involved in secure connectivity ecosystems.
  • Build and maintain senior level relationships with decision makers, influencers, and procurement authorities to position solutions at strategic and operational levels.
  • Promote and evangelize advanced LEO satellite services to government end users, driving awareness and long term adoption of secure connectivity solutions.
  • Monitor market trends, regulatory developments, procurement programs, and competitive activity within the defence and government communications landscape.
  • Coordinate closely with internal engineering, product, and commercial teams to align technical capabilities with customer needs and national requirements.
  • Contribute to strategic planning, opportunity development, and executive level reporting across complex, multi stakeholder sales cycles.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in business development, strategic sales, government relations, or defence focused technology environments.
  • Strong understanding of government, institutional, and defence ecosystems in Northern European or Nordic markets, including procurement processes and stakeholder structures.
  • Proven experience engaging with public sector agencies, defence organizations, and strategic industrial or governmental partners.
  • Solid knowledge of satellite communications, secure connectivity, telecommunications, or mission critical infrastructure solutions is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex, long cycle opportunities involving technical, political, and executive level stakeholders.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills, including experience delivering executive briefings and strategic proposals.
  • Ability to operate effectively in sensitive, multi stakeholder environments with a high degree of autonomy and strategic judgment.
  • Fluency in English is required; additional regional or Nordic language skills are an advantage. Military or defence background is considered a strong plus.
