Job Description
general manager required for a busy family run accident repair centre near Bournemouth.
Overview of this job: To optimise Bodyshop profitability whilst maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction;
Meeting or exceeding departmental budgets agreed with your manager;
Maintaining a healthy, motivated and friendly atmosphere at work.
Customer Focus: Meeting or exceeding customer expectations;
Meeting or exceeding standards set by Manufacturer and work providers.
Criteria for Success - this job holder can be measured by: Profitability of Bodyshop; Customer Satisfaction Indicators (CSI); Relevant Manufacturer Standards; Work Provider Agreements.
Specific Tasks ; Arrange appointments with customers; Provide positive customer experiences in all instances; Provide advice and direction to the workshop team on jobs; Provide courtesy cars where contractually required, supplying adequate vehicles of the correct standard and maintenance levels; Maintain good relationships with customers by meeting and exceeding their expectations; Calm dissatisfied customers, resolve complaints with sensitivity, and involve others when needed;
Complete varied benchmarking and yardstick information and general administrative tasks to meet work provider requirements; Develop a good relationship with all manufacturers and work providers; Monitor quality control, taking remedial action where necessary to reduce or eliminate returns; Maintain accurate costing and invoicing procedures to ensure that money is paid. And be able to: Work closely with the Senior Management Team; Complete a high level of paperwork paying close attention to administrative details; Carry out a high level of financial and analytical work and benchmarking KPI's; you must have the ability to work independently; Demonstrate a professional appearance and an enthusiastic attitude; Remain positive in stressful situations through Problem Solving & Decision Making; you would also need to be Results Focused; Flexible; Numerate and Computer literate, candidates must have plenty of experience in the accident repair industry, you would be expected to work closely the workshop staff to motivate the team and give help where needed, as general manager you would be reporting to senior management to monitor workshop performance in order to achieve the completion of allocated targets , you will need to keep the workflow running smoothly whilst identifying any problems that may occur and make sure these are dealt with swiftly to ensure the profitability and quality of repairs are maintained.
pay is negotiable depending on experience
