Job Description
  • Film/ Code all U21s games (home and away).
  • Undertake pre match opposition analysis for all competitive games, including reports and presentations to aid game understanding for players.
  • Compile video clips and information for post-match presentations liaising with coaching staff.
  • Compile and deliver post-match reports with statistical objective data.
  • Collect individual player data and team data for benchmarking and comparison to the club's first team squad.
  • Provide one to one analysis sessions to players and offer individual clips and data for all players in Professional Development Phase to aid their development and progression.
  • Maintain video databases to capture best practice and provide a learning resource for the players and staff.
  • Provide and support input into the analysis of the academy U9-U16 age groups with the assistance and supervision of students and interns, ensuring they follow expected standards.
About The Candidate

What are we looking for:

  • Undergraduate degree in a sports related subject (2:2 or above).
  • Previous experience in providing performance analysis support in football, producing and delivering feedback and findings.
  • Previous experience with live filming and coding of games and/or training sessions.
  • A sound understanding of the technical and tactical aspects of football.
  • Ability to create and deliver one to one mentoring/ development sessions with technical input.
  • A solid understanding of the use of analysis software (SportsCode), editing and analysis techniques, and other associated 3rd party products (Microsoft Office, Keynote, Numbers, FinalCut, iMovie, Wyscout).
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the use of camera equipment.
  • IT literate and excellent visual presentation skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to communicate well in both verbal and written formats.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the EPPP.
  • Professional manner and the drive to always produce excellence.
  • Ability to take large data sets and summarise concisely.
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines along with a reactive approach to the continually evolving nature of professional football.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to the management of their work.
  • Flexibility in the role.
  • The ability to thrive and not lose accuracy under pressure.
  • The ability to organise a diverse and pressurised workload often governed by deadlines.
  • Ability to travel to different locations to undertake the duties of the role.
