3rd Line Engineer

We're looking for a 3rd Line Engineer to join my clients growing team. You don't need to be a wizard, but you should be confident in setting up and maintaining cloud infrastructure, undertaking migrations, and acting as the go-to person for cloud-related queries. This is a hands-on technical role that also offers the opportunity to influence best practices and mentor junior staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Setup, manage, and maintain cloud infrastructure (primarily Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365).
• Lead or support migration projects, including on-prem to cloud transitions.
• Provide 3rd line support across all core IT areas (networking, servers, storage, security, and desktop environments).
• Act as the escalation point for cloud and infrastructure-related issues.
• Collaborate with clients to understand business requirements and recommend suitable solutions.
• Document processes, configurations, and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing.
• Stay updated with the latest cloud technologies and trends.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Solid experience in Microsoft 365 administration and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure (Azure preferred) - deployment, configuration, and management.
• Demonstrated experience in 3rd line support across a variety of IT systems.
• Experience with server, network, and storage technologies.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills - comfortable working directly with clients.
• Experience in an MSP environment is highly desirable.

Desirable (Not Essential):

• Relevant certifications (Microsoft, CompTIA, etc.)
• Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery tools
• Familiarity with RMM tools and IT documentation platforms
