3rd Line Directory Services Engineer - DV Cleared

This role is for a 3rd Line Directory Services Engineer with active DV Clearance, based in Basingstoke for a 6 month contract at a pay rate of "£X per day." Key skills include Active Directory, Windows Server, DNS, Group Policy, and PowerShell scripting.

United Kingdom - On site

• Manage and maintain Active Directory Domain Services and associated infrastructure.
• Deliver planned changes through structured change management processes and respond to incidents and escalations from 2nd Line support.
• Support Windows Server environments (2019 and later), manage DNS, create and apply Group Policies, and utilise tools such as SCOM and SCCM.
• Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams to assess new releases, maintain documentation, and ensure smooth operational performance.
• Work independently in a high pressure environment; occasional travel to other customer sites.

• Strong problem solving and analytical mindset with the ability to think creatively.
• Deep understanding of Active Directory, Windows Server, DNS, and Group Policy Management.
• Knowledge of PowerShell scripting, multi tenant environments, and ITSM processes.
• Familiarity with ITIL and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with VMware vCenter (user level) and collaboration across engineering and architecture teams.
• Highly motivated, adaptable, and able to work independently.
