AI Product Technology scale up hiring Tech Lead!

They're now looking for a Software Engineering Tech Lead to take ownership of a talented software engineering team and drive the development of high-performance APIs, microservices, and cloud-native systems.

This is a hands-on leadership role - ideal for someone who enjoys setting technical direction while still being close to the code.

What you'll be doing:

• Leading and mentoring a team of backend engineers
• Designing and delivering scalable APIs and microservices
• Driving best practice across code quality, testing, and architecture
• Working closely with product and design to ship features at pace
• Owning cloud infrastructure across GCP and Kubernetes

What we're looking for:

• Strong backend experience with Node.js and TypeScript
• Proven track record leading engineering teams
• Solid cloud and containerisation experience (GCP, Kubernetes, Docker)
• Experience building reliable, scalable distributed systems

Nice to have:

• Exposure to AI/ML or event-driven architectures
• Experience with Python or frontend technologies

Salary

• Up to £90,000 plus equity and amazing annual leave.
