An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Medical Equipment Management Service at St Johns Hospital, Livingston, to support the delivery of medical equipment management.
Medical Physics is recruiting an experienced electronic/electro-mechanical service technician, graduates, or technicians from other industries to work as a medical equipment technologist. Candidates should have a degree or HND in electronics or medical engineering, with experience in electronic servicing. The role requires self-motivation, teamwork, good interpersonal skills, and flexibility. The position involves travel and working at various hospitals and clinics in Lothian.
The Medical Equipment Management service offers staff development opportunities. You will join a multidisciplinary team, receiving training to manage a wide range of medical equipment across clinical specialties, supporting healthcare at four acute hospital sites and within the local healthcare community.
NHS Lothian serves a population of approximately 800,000 across 700 square miles, encompassing Edinburgh, Midlothian, East Lothian, and West Lothian. The region features diverse landscapes, from Edinburgh's urban environment to hills, countryside, and coastline.
