2026: Garden Center Merchandiser (Deptford, NJ)

Simply Set is part of a family owned wholesale grower that specializes in a wide range of seasonal products, including annuals, perennials, and vegetables. We partner with major retailers. supplying high volume, high quality plant material while delivering exceptional customer service.

The ideal candidate will have plant knowledge and hands on experience, the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and strong customer service skills. A commitment to following management direction and executing client initiatives is essential.

Responsibilities

• Display, merchandise, and maintain live plant products in large garden center environments.
• Train and support other associates on procedures, displays, and proper watering practices.
• Engage with customers and provide assistance as needed.
• Work across multiple store locations when required.
• Collaborate effectively with store personnel to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain regular communication with the Team Lead and promptly report any special requests or needs.

Essential Duties

• Reliable transportation with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Saturday work is required as part of the role. During peak season, employees may also be required to work holidays.
• Ability to lift and move up to 25 lbs. as needed.
• Strong attention to detail.

• Photos must be taken during each store visit and submitted to the Team Lead.
