Software Engineering Manager

Join a global SaaS company with a major Belfast engineering hub (80+ people) as they scale their next generation cloud platform used by leading manufacturers worldwide.

You'll lead one or two small engineering teams (approx. 8 engineers total) focused on cloud platform services and application development. The work spans core cloud infrastructure (authentication, tenancy, user management) and front-/back end apps powering real time design and analysis tools - with new AI driven capabilities on the horizon.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead one or more engineering teams (personal preference), driving delivery, process maturity, and code quality.
• Ensure engineering best practices across Agile delivery, CI/CD pipelines, and release management.
• Support and mentor engineers - fostering a culture of ownership and accountability.
• Provide technical leadership and input (Java, Python, React) without being hands on daily.
• Champion continuous improvement and scalable product delivery.

Ideal Profile

• Experience as a software engineering Manager or Team Lead ready to step up - Proven experience of managing and developing software teams.
• Strong cloud/SaaS background with solid technical grounding - previously been a software developer with strong hands on technical awareness.
• Desirable - previous experience in their tech Stack: Java Python React AWS
• Collaborative, process oriented, and motivated to mature engineering practices.
• Experience in CI/CD pipeline tooling and Microservices.
