1:1 Tutor based in DT8

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Tutor to support a Year 3 student in the DT8 area, delivering English and Maths for 6 hours per week. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on helping young people re-engage with education and build confidence in their learning.

As a Tutor, you will:

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging, tailored sessions for a Year 3 learner.
• Monitor, assess and report on weekly student progress.
• Provide patient, compassionate and structured support.
• Be adaptable, organised and creative in your teaching.
• Record attendance and maintain clear documentation.

We're looking for someone who:

• Has a nurturing, caring and patient nature.
• Understands the Primary National Curriculum (English & Maths essential).
• Has experience supporting learners with SEN and/or SEMH needs.
• Is organised, dependable and able to build positive relationships.
• Holds at least 1 year of experience working in UK schools (essential).

To be eligible, you must:

• Have the right to work in the UK.
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply).
• Provide references when requested.
• Have up-to-date Safeguarding Training (or willingness to complete this).
