SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1) - NewportFull-time & Part-time Opportunities Term Time Only £463-£480 per week

Primary schools in Newport are seeking a committed and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated support to pupils with additional needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with children in a mainstream setting, helping them feel supported and confident in their learning.

Key duties:

  • Providing 1:1 support during lessons and daily activities
  • Adapting tasks to meet pupils' needs
  • Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour

The ideal candidate:

  • Calm, patient, and reliable
  • Ability to build strong and trusting relationships with the ALNCO and the class teacher
  • A clear communicator and team player
  • Previous experience in education, care, or support work is beneficial but not essential
  • Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
