Job Description
About the role

Axcis Education are working closely to support an independent specialist provision in Newton Abbot, who require an experienced practitioner to deliver 1:1 psychology lessons with a student who is studying psychology A-level. This is a part time position - 3 days a week - which requires someone with previous school based, or similar experience and is comfortable supporting with Psychology (up to Key Stage 5). Key information: Pay: £130-£160 a day, depending on qualifications & experience. Hours: Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 8.30am - 4.30pm. Start date: ASAP.

Responsibilities

You will be supporting on a 1:1 basis. The student has ASD and complex needs, so a good understanding of SEND is required. Your role is to help facilitate learning and personal growth by assisting with learning at a suitable pace. Your day-to-day responsibilities may include supporting small groups and individual pupils with SEND needs, assisting with classroom activities, supporting with learning on a 1:1 basis, promoting positive behaviour and contributing to a calm, nurturing learning environment.
