You will help the pupil follow routines, stay engaged in learning, manage transitions, and access classroom activities more confidently, while feeding back clearly to the class teacher and SENCO. Schools are expected to follow the SEND Code of Practice and use a graduated approach to identifying needs, putting support in place, and reviewing its impact.The Candidate: You are patient, observant, and able to build trust through consistency and clear communication. You want meaningful primary school experience, you are interested in how children with additional needs are supported in mainstream settings, and you are keen to develop the practical insight needed for a future in educational or clinical psychology. SEN teaching assistants support teachers to help children with disabilities and special educational needs, which makes this strong experience for psychology-related pathways.Requirements

• Degree - A 2:2 or above in any subject.
• Communication - Clear and confident verbal and written communication.
• Enhanced DBS - Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.

• Career Goals - A desire to pursue a career in educational or clinical psychology.
