A top-tier US law firm is seeking a 1-4 PQE Antitrust Associate to join its elite Antitrust practice in London. Known for its high-profile, cross-border merger control work and FCA investigations, the firm offers Cravath-scale compensation, early responsibility and opportunities for advocacy. The role involves working with leading private equity clients and contributing to a pan-European team within a collaborative, high-performance culture.

Position Overview

As an Antitrust Associate, you will be part of a dynamic team handling UK/EU and other non-U.S. antitrust, cartel and merger control matters. You will have the opportunity to take on significant responsibility, conduct your own advocacy where possible and gain valuable exposure to cross-border work as part of a team operating across five European offices.

Responsibilities
  • Handle complex UK/EU antitrust and competition cases, with a focus on CMA filings and cross-border matters

  • Demonstrate initiative and take on a high degree of responsibility in case management

  • Produce excellent written communication and drafting for various legal documents and submissions

  • Collaborate with colleagues across multiple jurisdictions to deliver seamless client service

  • Contribute to the development and growth of the Competition practice through thought leadership and client engagement

Requirements
  • 1-4 years of post-qualification experience in a top-tier law firm

  • Qualified to practice law in England & Wales

  • Strong experience in handling CMA filings and other high-end, complex antitrust matters with cross-border features

  • Outstanding academic credentials and a keen interest in competition law

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
