0.5 English Tutor for GCSE English and Functional Skills Teacher

HLNSC is looking to appoint a highly effective English teacher to deliver English qualifications to full time 16-19-year-old students studying on full time vocational programmes at the college from May 2026. This may also include delivering English qualifications to mature students.
A flexible approach to the job is required as change may be necessary within the scope of the post.

• A relevant Level 3 or higher qualification in English
• A relevant teaching qualification or willingness to work towards such (training provided)
• A strong record of teaching and learning
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• The ability to work effectively with other team members and to meet deadlines
• GCSE English and Functional Skills teaching experience, preferably in the post 16 educational sector
• A good working knowledge of the GCSE English and Functional specifications, quality systems and exam requirements

Salary: Up to £38,066 (FTE) subject to qualifications and experience

Working Hours: 18.5
