Job Title: Zumba Instructor
Location: Tw2 Health and Fitness Club, Twickenham

Job Purpose

To plan, structure, and deliver safe, energetic, and engaging Zumba fitness classes to participants of various fitness levels. The instructor creates a motivating environment using music and original choreography to help participants reach their health and fitness goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and teach high-energy Zumba classes combining dance and aerobic movements.
• Prepare and structure routines set to suitable Latin and international music rhythms.
• Provide clear verbal and non-verbal cueing to guide participants safely through routines.
• Demonstrate proper technique and form while adapting movements for beginner, intermediate, and advanced participants.
• Welcome members, maintain attendance records, and foster an inclusive, friendly community atmosphere.
• Manage audio equipment and ensure the exercise space is safe, clean, and free of hazards before and after class.
• Maintain active group exercise certifications, professional licenses, and insurance policies.

Required Qualifications and Certifications

• Official Basic 1 Zumba Instructor License.
• Level 2 Exercise to Music qualification or Level 2 Group Fitness Instructor qualification recognised in the UK.
• Active membership with the Zumba Instructor Network.
• Valid UK Public Liability Insurance coverage.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Experience leading group exercise or dance classes in a gym or studio setting.
• Excellent rhythm, coordination, and physical fitness stamina.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• High energy level, enthusiasm, and passion for group exercise.
• Ability to build rapport with participants and motivate diverse groups.
