Job Description
Birmingham Children's Trust is seeking a Youth Justice Worker to join their Youth Justice Service based in Aston, Birmingham (B6 4DU). This temporary role pays £18.78 £24.34 per hour via Prism, starting on 29 June 2026. The role involves delivering services that meet the individual needs of children and young people, their families and caregivers, with a focus on reducing and preventing reoffending.
Key responsibilities- Plan and implement diversion from court programmes.
- Manage young people through court processes and referral order panels.
- Compile Pre Sentence Reports in line with national standards.
- Supervise Youth Rehabilitation Orders and through care licence arrangements.
- Act as case manager for court orders.
- Contribute to Bail Support Services.
- Deliver restorative approaches that address victim needs alongside rehabilitation.
- Liaise with multi agency partners and community stakeholders.
- Contribute to the Youth Justice Plan and performance measures.
- Participate in quality assurance processes.
- Commit to anti oppressive practice and awareness of current youth justice legislation.
- Experience in youth justice or youth offending work.
- Availability to start in late June.
