About DGFT

The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) operates under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, headed by the Director General. It is responsible for framing and executing India's Foreign Trade Policy, with a primary focus on boosting exports. DGFT also handles the issuance of export-related authorizations and monitors export obligations through its regional offices.
