About the clientLydia is 24 years old and lives with her fiance Ajay Curtis and friend Declan Harris in an accessible council house. Lydia is a full time wheelchair user and has a through floor lift to get upstairs, a wet room bathroom, a shower chair, a toilet frame and a bed rail. Lydia is autistic and has struggles associated with this. Lydia has multiple neurological conditions which affect her mobility and cause her pain. Lydia requires a lot of medication daily. Lydia struggles with her mental health.
Lydia attends a cheerleading group for disabled children and young people at the saints stadium where she regularly performs. Lydia attends a day centre for people with disabilities one full day every week where she is part of the media group and requires 1 to 1 support to do this. Lydia also attends social and leisure activities, usually one evening a week with her 1 to 1 and the staff from her day centre, but occasionally attends a fun Friday at the buzz hub and yoga at the nuro gym in Liverpool.
Lydia likes to go on days out with her friend blue who is also disabled. So this can only happen with the help of Lydia's support worker.
