REED/LTA are seeking a dedicated Year 5 Teacher to join a lovely little primary school in Preston for a maternity cover position starting in September. This role offers a potential pathway to a permanent position, ideal for someone passionate about making a significant impact in children's educational journeys.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and educational lessons appropriate for Year 5 students.
  • Assess and record students' progress, preparing them for the transition to the next year level.
  • Create a nurturing and safe learning environment that supports students' emotional and educational needs.
  • Collaborate with other teaching staff and participate in school events and activities.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns that may arise.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching at the primary level, specifically Year 5 or similar.
  • Strong understanding of the current curriculum and teaching methods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to engage and inspire young learners.
