A welcoming one-form entry Primary school in Cradley Heath is seeking a confident and experienced Year 1 Class Teacher to join their team as soon as possible until July, on a full-time basis.

This Year 1 Teacher role is ideal for an experienced practitioner with a strong knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and the confidence to lead a class independently. You will take on full class teacher responsibilities, including planning, preparation, marking, and assessment, ensuring pupils continue to make strong academic progress throughout the summer term.

Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering engaging and creative lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 national curriculum.
• Marking and assessing pupils' work, providing clear feedback to support progress.
• Tracking and monitoring pupil attainment and adapting teaching to meet individual needs.
• Creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
• Managing behavior effectively in line with school policies.
• Working collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues, and senior leaders.
• Communicating effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil progress and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Proven experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally in Year 1.
• A strong understanding of the Lower KS2 curriculum and assessment expectations.
• Excellent classroom and behavior management skills.
• A proactive, organized, and professional approach.
• The ability to plan, differentiate, and deliver high-quality lessons that engage and challenge all learners.
