Year 1 Teacher

Academics Canterbury are recruiting a nurturing and enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Dover. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about early literacy and building strong KS1 foundations.

The school is seeking a teacher who can create a structured, engaging environment where pupils feel supported as they develop confidence in reading, writing, and maths.

• Deliver engaging lessons aligned with the KS1 curriculum

• Support early phonics and literacy development

• Create a positive and well-managed classroom environment

• Monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching accordingly

• Work collaboratively with colleagues and parents

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - ECTs welcome

• Previous UK primary classroom experience

• Strong KS1 curriculum knowledge

• Positive behaviour management

• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)

• Right to work in the UK - visa sponsorship is not available
