The Role

As a Year 1 Class Teacher, you will play a key role in supporting children as they make the transition from the EYFS into Key Stage 1. You will create engaging learning experiences, establish positive relationships and ensure every child is supported to achieve their potential.

The Ideal Year 1 Teacher Will:

• Hold QTS and have a strong understanding of the primary curriculum
• Have experience or a good understanding of teaching in Year 1
• Understand the transition from EYFS to KS1
• Have a creative and engaging approach to teaching and learning
• Set high expectations while creating a nurturing classroom environment
• Build strong, positive relationships with children, colleagues and families
• Demonstrate a commitment to inclusive teaching and learning
• Be reflective, adaptable and keen to develop professionally
• Work collaboratively as part of a supportive team
