Year 1 - Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a Year 1 Teaching Assistant to work one-to-one in a mainstream primary school setting in Erdington. The student you will be supporting is accessing the mainstream classroom, has a lot of academic potential, and requires a committed Teaching Assistant with experience working with young people with SEND needs, either from education or transferable experience from residential, support, or care backgrounds.
Responsibilities- Provide one-to-one support during term time, Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 15:30.
- Work under the full support of the class teacher and SENCo, following their planned interventions and support packages.
- Remain in role from immediate start until July 2026, with potential extension as the child progresses through school.
- Receive a daily rate of £93 (PAYE).
- Experience working with children with SEND needs, either from education or transferable experience from residential, support or care settings.
- Full UK right to work.
- Enhanced DBS on the updated service, or willingness to obtain one.
